Glad that I could entertain you!

Okay. This should be simple, but surely God is not the only one who
knows how to fix it!

I'm editing an XML document and want to view it. I click on the "Earth
icon" and Netscape 4.7x runs. Yeah, I know it is old, but it does NOT
support XML.

Couple of things

1) I want IE to be the default ...

That worked, though I had thought that I had done that. Oh well, all is well

Just installed the newest version of TextPad 4.7 to my PC using NT 4. A few problems with the install due to non-standard folder names. So, I just deleted the old copy of 4.62 and installed as a new install. No biggie.

Now, I am inside NT Explorer and want to edit the file. Highlight the file name ...

Well, what I was looking for was under the

Configure | Preference | Macros

section. Actually, there are 2, but I had to highlight one and add it and now it is there.

Well, that sounds like what is done to locate the JDK. Why can't there just be a menu item for "Refresh" | "SDK Location", or make it part of the Preferences?

When I purchased 4.5, I used to have a pretty decent HTML stripper that was in my macro program. Did the upgrade to the 4.62 and now it is gone because I had to remove the old 4.5 version to make 4.62 work okay.

Anyone know where I can get that macro again? Or did I just miss it here in the ...

Sun seems to be putting out new releases of the java 2 SE platform pretty regularly. I have been through this, and hate it eaach time I have to do it!

1) Installed JDK1.3.1, installed TextPad 4.5, all okay. :D

2) Installed JDK1.4.0, Textpad can't find javac.exe ...
