When a selected text is deleted, and the deletion is undone afterwards, the selection should be set back. At least an option could be among the Editor Preferences for this function.

In TextPad 4.6 UTF-8 files are always saved with the signature bytes (BOM).
It would be very desirable for the user to be able to turn this feature off.
