Displaying the Byte Order Mark Encoding in the Status Bar

Greetings!

I work with many unicode type of files. I have a need to display the unicode encoding (UTF-8, UTF-16LE, etc.) somewhere in the status bar. Is this a possibility right now? If not, can this be added to the next version? I will really appreciate it. Thanks.

Wow, this is really a pain in the neck. How come you can't minimize some of the windows? I have six documents open and would like to minimize 4 of them and tile the other two vertically like I could in version 4.x. It would be nice if the "Document Tabs" had a "new vertical tab group" like other ...

I had the same problem with 5.1.

The fix is to go to the View menu item and uncheck the Document Tabs menu item.

Hope this helps,

Michael
Thanks, Michael. Workekd like a charm. I knew there have to be a way.

Split in 5.1.0 absorbs!

Hi. I just upgraded to 5.1.0 and I have two files open and I can not get them to be on the same page. When I do split, the split happens only on one file and the same file appears on both. I am going to have to go back to the older one that had split horizotal or vertical and used all the files that ...

File - Manage Files... - Delete thanks. It would be nice that an X icon may be added to the File Toolbar that would delete the file. If I am not mistaken, this used to be part of TextPad back in the days. Maybe I am wrong, but I remember that on some editor and I have been using TextPad for over 8 ...

Now run the macro when each file is opened.
The problem is that I need to look through it. So, is there a command to delete the file that I have opened and? I could create a macro with that.

thanks.

deleting the file opened

Greetings. I have a problem. I have to open a bunch of files and if they are translated, I want to delete them. If they are not, I would like to keep them. So, if I open 20 files, I would like to delete the ones that are translated, and the ones that are not, just close them. Is this possible with ...

Interesting... I haven't tried W2K, yet, but I will. Also, there is one more bit of info that I forgot to mentioned, :-o, the file that I am editing is on a shared drive. :-)

I'll come back with more info. Let me do a few things here...

thanks,

Well, open a text file, then close it. Go to the windows browser and move that file to another directory. :-) There's your problem. :-) If it does not happen to you, then something is very weird. I am using XP, which may have other problems in itself. I'll try 2K PRO. I wish I could attached a ...
