I've been comparing 4.7.3 and 5.0.3 and can confirm that the use of tabs in the older version did not disable the Window arrange buttons.

It's a pity that this feature has been disabled when tabs are used in the new version. I think I'll hold off on upgrading until it's fixed.

This would also be very useful for programming in languages which place a set limit on the length of lines. In the case of some IBM languages the last column (often 72) also has a special significance.

Some languages (particularly IBM ones) give a special significance to characters appearing in a particular column. It would be nice to be able to highlight text that falls into a particular column number (e.g. 72).

It would be useful if the Ctrl-M bracket match function ignored brackets that are commented out according to the syntax check.

As a minimum it would be nice to be able to set the colour of the cursor (I normally use red in other editors which stands out well).
