After I had to re-install Windows 2000 and therefore also TextPad 4.7.3, it does not find my macros any more, though I had configured TextPad again. Especially the Folders setting for Macros is set correctly to the folder where I keep all my personal TextPad stuff like workspaces, syntax files etc ...

It works now; I used "Western" before (it is probably the default), I never paid attention to this option.

Hi,
nice to know that there are others who don't want IE, but the sad fact is, I just cannot install Textpad at all. Period. Or is there another solution than downloading and installing IE + service pack?

Installation of Textpad 4.6 stops with the message 1643: setup requires a newer version of WinInet.dll. You may need ... Internet Explorer 3.02 ... But I am using Mozilla for browsing and don't want to download and install a huge Internet Explorer 6.x file + service pack just to get 1 little DLL ...
