TextPad seems to be dead...

I guess that nobody else needed it

Why isn't there a button to set the current option for all document classes? I set the default tab shit to 4 spaces instead of the insane 8 default value, but had to set this for every class.

I want a way to set it to all classes.

PS: What's the difference between "default tab spacing" and "indent ...

It has bugged me for a while. I knew, of course, what ASCII is. I knew that ANSI is a standards body.

I had read something about "extended" ASCII, to be called simply "ANSI", which would make it "ANSI ANSI" in my eyes...

If it's ISO-8859-1 or similar ...

Why does it say "ANSI characters"?

It's ASCII up to 128... then what does it use? Some ISO standard? Or some extended ASCII one? "ANSI ANSI"?

Now I have made my own little ugly hack.

"As-is" shows the textfile as it is line-breaked in the original text file.
If line 1 has an EOL on the 101th position, there the line breaks in the browser.
If the second line has an EOL on the 87th position, there the line breaks in the browser.

I don't have a single problem doing this embedded in HTML. The thing is that I provide the alternative for my users to read the text-file being embedded (user agreement) as pure text, and I'd PREFER if they saw it properly formatted.

A long line is indeed shown as a long line in a browser.
I have found no "wrap" function in a browser until this time.

Do you use Unix style line breaks? There could be a problem too.

The fact that a browser can show text files is just a 'bonus'. It is not another way of showing textfiles with ...

If your browser thinks that your file contains HTML it will treat newlines the same as spaces.

In what sense is the text not word-wrapped? Does it extend beyond the right margin of the browser?
Are there sufficient spaces in the text at which the lines can be broken?
Which browser are you using ...

I'm not talking about HTML. This is a pure text document. Web browsers can view those as well.

No... it does what I want as long as I have TextPad open, but in my browser, it's still not word-wrapped with \ns.
