The files are not read only
I found a way around it but not an easy one
I export the files to a MIF foramt and then run wildedit
It seems to work but takes a while

I am trying to replace some drive directions inside a hotlink file in my mapping programme(MapInfo)
The files have a DAT extension. Also the IND file gives problems
