They are easy enough to turn off, but it's annoying to have to do this every time I start up. Why can't the default startup view be the same as the last ...

Silly me. Chalk one up for Friday morning.

I have created a new custom file type, and it shows up OK in Preferences..., but it does not show up in Open File, or Save As.

I tried again using the wizard, and same result.

Any suggestions? (Ver. 4.7.3 on XP Pro)
