Replacing with a newline ignores Selected Text setting. Bug?

I wanted to put a newline after each comma within just the first pair of parentheses of the following:

INSERT INTO SourceDocumentClauses (SourceClauseId, SourceDocumentId, SourceClauseReference, SourceClauseDescription, SourceClauseText, FunctionalGroupId, AssociatedTwiClause, SortNumber ...

I also have been having problems with "Open With" in TP5. When I try to do Open With on anything, I just get a TextPad window with nothing in it.

This is even after manually changing all registry references from TextPad 4 to TextPad 5.

This is very annoying as I often use TextPad to peek inside ...

I also need to do this all the time, but I've always used a spreadsheet up to now.

Yes, the same happens with me.

I did the same as you to a 149 KB XML file. 300 MB of memory got held onto after splitting a single line into multiple lines (but not when doing it the other way round).

I'm using 4.7.3 under W2K.

Curiously, this question has been asked at least three times recently.

Here are two of the others that have been answered:

You can do this as follows:

Menu Configure, then Preferences, Document Classes

Choose a class (probably Text is what you're after).

Select "Word wrap long lines", and "Save with hard breaks" below that.

Finally, at the foot of the dialog box, select "Word break at column number", and put 65 into ...
