I don't care about Unicode characters or support, so the easiest solution for me has always been to just to re-save the reg file as ASCII. I've been doing this for many years, and they load just fine. How do you do that in TextPad 7? Is ANSI the same as ASCII? The choices I have are ANSI, DOS, UTF ...

I just came across a solution which utilizes a new document class for editing Windows registry files. See https://textpadregistryfile.wordpress.com/about/textpad-registry-file-corruption-solution/ for complete details. Now why did this take me 10+ years to find a solution, the one presented in this ...

long macros cause OneDrive folder to open
What is causing my TextPad macro to open my PC's OneDrive folder? If I have a long running macro, perhaps running to end of file or a large selection of lines, after several hundred iterations TextPad opens file explorer to OneDrive. The macro will continue to run as normal. It doesn't seem to hurt ...

select all bookmarked text?
Is there a way to select all bookmarked lines so I can copy them to a new document? Is it possible to sort all bookmarked lines to the start or end and select all of them there?
thanks

how to concatenate all open files into one new document?
I've tried writing a macro to copy text from one document to another but macros do not seem to work across documents. I'm looking for a way to concatenate all open documents into one new document.
