I agree wholeheartedly. I'm trying to "make the switch," but at this point, I have a hard time living without TextPad, and have yet to find anything decent on Linux (at least for me and what I'm used to). I've tried Kate, but TextPad is still king IMO.
I'm not sure how profitable a port to Linux ...

TextPad - Find & Replace in files, like WildEdt
How about adding the functionality of WildEdit? Currently, there is the ability to Find In Files. It would be nice to be able to Find & Replace within files. I know this is what WildEdit is for, and you likely don't want to cannibalize those sales, but perhaps it could be a discounted addin module ...
