I'm running XP Pro x64, but my file manager is only 32-bit based and so cannot load 64-bit shell extensions.

How can I force TextPad to install/use the 32-bit shell extension so I can have the TextPad context menu in my file manager ?

Alternatively, how can I do this manually ?

It's a shame that the author of TP is waiting so long to release a new version, since releases are usually a disappointment and often contain quite a few bugs. The best way of developing software is to get it to a reasonably stable stage, and then have regular releases addressing problems/ideas ...

At the very least TP should search within hidden files/folders by default (this would require minimal work), although the checkbox would be the best solution.

As the title suggests, Find in Files does not search in folders with the hidden attribute bit set. Is there any way to make TextPad search within hidden folders ?

Yeah, I've often wanted to be able to switch between HEX and ASCII view.

Currently you have to decide whether you want either HEX or ASCII when you load the file which is not ideal. Most other editors allow you to switch between the two view modes easily.
