AFAIK, Textpad is written in MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes) in C++. Most of the functionality is tied to the Windows development model. This would probably make it uneconomical to develop on Linux as you'd have to port everything to another GUI toolkit (Qt/GTK etc etc...) There is a good UNIX ...

I wouldn't go near VSS - not after spending about 2 weeks recovering it from a major corruption incident. It's a complete liability. I now use TortoiseCVS and the CVS server is a Sun Ultra 30 running NetBSD and bog standard CVS. Never a problem and perfect editor integration. As for common ...

Personally, I don't think it is necessary on such an editor. IMHO Textpad is a text editor, not an IDE. Interestingly, after polling the developers here, they have said that you learn less about the language if you are continually prompted. I'd rather see some simpler life-improving enhancements ...

Would it be possible to have the option of automatically applying a simple sort to the output command window after running a tool? Basically: Add a check box to the tool property page which does the equivalent of an F9 on the command window after the tool has executed. You currently cannot sort the ...
