I assumed that this was a problem in the new dll.

If this is a registry issue could you post the registry keys in question?

I tried deselecting context menu option and rebooting and reselecting and it did not work.

I did that and nothing happens. It does not reapear in the context menu.

I am also getting the "hang" problem when selecting a file from the context menu for use with Textpad.

When I copied the new dde dll, I followed the steps in first de-selecting the option for context menu, but when I am done and reselect the option the context menu option is no longer ...

I did the steps in the tip to replace the shellext.dll and now there is no context menu option for textpad.

I have windowsxp and the latest textpad
