A workaround is always to work with a workspace open. New documents will then be silently saved in the workspace.
Not sure what "silently saved" means. I want to throw it all away, not see it again next time I open TextPad.
Another is to use the Close All command on the File menu before ...

Hi,
I use version 9.7.0 currently, in Windows. In an older version, whenever I closed TextPad I was able to ignore all "never saved" documents. By a "never saved" document, I mean a document that is the result of just clicking "New Document", and never saving it.

Did the logic for the file tabs order change recently?
I just did a full reinstall of Windows on my laptop, and I notice that the order of the file tabs seems to have changed. As in the logic by which Textpad orders the files.
As I remember it, whenever I opened a file that wasn't already open in Textpad, it would add a tab for it at the far left. But ...
