I came here specifically to ask this.
I work with PHP files and I need the variables (words preceded with a $ dollar sign) to have it's own special highlighting.

The Print option shouldn't be right below the Close option. You have no idea the number of times I had to sprint out of my chair to yank out the printer's electrical cord to halt the print job just because I accidentally chose Print instead of Close. additional tab concepts I'd like to borrow from these browsers: *) When I double-click a tab, textpad undocks and resizes the window to "restore down" mode.
