TextPad English Dictionary won't install

I am on Win7 64bit.
I have been using TextPad English Dictionary for years with no complaint.
I was wondering if it has been updated with me noticing?
If the problem is not W7-64bit or a missed update, what else could it be?

Thank you for your kind attention :-)

Windows 8

I've just been reading the latest on Windows 8. I am interested to know if Textpad will be ported to the ARM version of W8 and become available via the Metro App store? Helios Has consistently refused to port Textpad to Linux (so disappointing) and now I am wondering if this attitude will persist ...

No. It doesn't work. Tinkering with preferences does not return TextPad to the properties menu. I finally solved the problem the hard way - by uninstalling TextPad and expunging it entirely from the register with RegEdit. I then installed version 503 and now it works just fine. Version 531 was an ...

(-_-) TextPad removed from Context menu

Hi Users :-) I updated TextPad from 520 to 531. I was disappointed to discover that TextPad has been removed from Context menu and shunted into the "Open With" sub-menu. This extra step away from convenience is irritating and unnecessary and I want it back in the Context menu. Is there a way to make ...

If anybody can tell me where macros are stored

Hi Y'all If anybody can tell me where macros are stored ... I'll make a macro editor. But. Knowing where to find them is the first step. Anybody? Helios? Dear Helios, Would you object to me making a macro editor? Would you provide enabling information for my effort? Would you object to my giving it ...

major surgery on html files

Hello coders, all :-) Over the years, I have created many news and blog files. Now and then I changed header styles including inline css blocks with varying presentation styles. I have also introduced menu bars (I manage other sites). Some are mapped jpg files and some are just html script. Anyway ...

Thank you, Helios :-) A useful list of utilities. Is does not, however, include .syn files for PHP. The only mention of .sys was for a supplement fot java.syn. So, I guess I shall have to either make my own (for which I am not qualified because I am a php beginner) or hope that someone else has ...

PHP editing

Greetings, Good people :-)

Has anyone produced a PHP.syn file for editing PHP files?

If You have, it would be really nice of you to post here or make it available in some other fashion and tell us here.

Thank you in anticipation :-)

Wow.
It worked!

Thank you so much :)

I guess the "Apply these settings to all classes" tick box was somehow disconnected during the last re-compilation :-/

Ah well, shit happens

I have version 473. I tried those instructions and it did not work. I thought I might have done it wrong so I very carefully read both sets of instructions and tried another four times. It did not work. It does not work. It cannot work. It will not work. THEY have ruined a good text processor. I am ...

Word wrap keeps going off

I just downloaded and installed version 473. I carefully went through the preferences and got everything the way I like it. A creature of habit, me. But there is a problem. One of the more important settings is word wrap which I always set to ON. But - each time I open a document of any kind, the ...

Hi Ben Yes, that is a sensible work-around - it's just such a shame that an otherwise excellent text processor should require work-arounds for a completely avoidable reason. . . . . Hi there Texpad Coders, Are you reading any of this? Here is another person who is having trouble with your tiny ...

Do the TextPad coding team ever read these entries?

Hello Team TextPad Do the TextPad coding team ever read these entries? I am not the only user who thinks the text size and choice of font are unfortunate for the use of Search and Replace box. I can alter the size of the boxes with a resource editor - but that does not solve the real problem: We don ...
