After a looooong time away from textpad, after switching from M$ world to linux (yuippeee), I start a test with wine one several computers a while a go, and I must say there has been some (!) good increase in wines compatibility. Textpad runs more or less flawless under wine except for a few hickups ...

Yes, I think it ads value.. (realy!)

It adds the value that the poll is active again, which is not the case for the other thread where it was disabled. This poll is set to be non terminating.

Also it adds the value to keep focus. (realy!)

It is therefor a shame that we are not able to see this wonderfull program running on Linux/Unix platform. I know I am not ...

Sorry, but I have tried both Kate and KWrite and they are hoax at best in my opinion compared to textpad. Dont like em at all. At the moment though code blocks is my favourite together with SciTE, but I still find Textpad more usefull. To run Textpad under wine you do have some requirements on your ...

well, I beleive Heliose has lost the grip now and is no longer maintaining Textpad in the same way as before. But, who am I to know. Fact is that in despite my above hail for Textpad I must let her go and let her live her own life. I feel sorry that she would not follow me into the free world but ...

Hi Count me in for a vote for Linux version. I have tried and used all the already mentioned editors for Linux, except Nedit which I will give a try, but there realy is no better alternative than Textpad which has succeded in balancing features vs user friendlines in such a great way as Helios team ...

Ok.. I know that the topic is an old one, but would like to comment it anyway because i feel it is somewath important to get a clear answer from the great Helios team... Add Code explorer window

There should be added a function similar to the "code explorer window " in PSpad to Textpad. This is a function which makes a resume of defines, includes, variables, functions, prototypes and so on inside active document. Very usefull, and you can switch to the definition of a function or define by ...
