Textpad under wine - Linux

Anyone had experience running TextPad under wine (linux)???

I have never found a better and more convenient text editor than Textpad, ever! Neither for Linux, Mac, or Windows. It is therefor a shame that we are not able to see this wonderfull program running on Linux/Unix platform.

I get the following error message

"An error occoured when downloading the file /WindowsInstaller KB893803-x86.exe"

I did not manage to solve it but I was able to install version 4.7.3

Clear all - bug in search result window

When using "clear all" in an active search (i.e. the find in files feature) before search is finished, it will clear the content of the active document in stead. This happens because the right mouse click menu is created based upon which pane/window mouse pointer is hovering over and not based on ...

However, there are other options though, and if you do not mind spend an extra 40EUR (personal license) I would recomend x-ways ...

XyWrite has changed name to Nota Bene for quite some years ago and is still beeing developed. You can find more info at

The problem is still here for the radio.c file mentioned above BUT here is something very strange, in fact it is strange indeed ... My project consists of two very similar products which have a slightly different firmware but the radio.c ...

Now, THIS is strange... I have been doing som other changes inside the document class according to tabulation settings after my last topic when finaly everything worked well. Then this happend. Or simple search for ( brachets in your document and then search for ) brachets. The "Search result window will count the number of match. Since you ar familiar with mathmatics im sure you can compare the two numbers given.

IAR Embedded workbench and DDE commands

Hi

I am trying get IAR emb. ver 3.20C (for AVR mcu) to work with Textpad 4.7.3 by passing DDE commands. Anyone done this?

The following settings are used within IARs Tools/Options menu selecting "external editor"

Type: DDE
Editor: C:\Program Files\TextPad\system\DDEOPN32.EXE
Service: DDEOPN32 ...

And some off us are even hoping for the ability to convert betwen intel hex and binary both way. (with the possebility to select grouping format for intel hex.)
