I enabled auditing as described, but in Event Viewer there is no entry 4660 logged even if I delete a file (for testing).

My disk is okay. Thats not the reason. Must be something different.

Yesterday it happened again: Started TextPad and it came with "Liesmich.txt" (readme.txt). Then I took a short look at my settings and they were all set to defaults (the general checkboxes, the file settings, tabstops..)

What can ...

From time to time my Textpad 9.6.1 loses its settings - I cannot see what causes that.
Can someone explain that?

There is not set such a policy.

Copy by Pressing Ctrl+C? Pressing Ctrl+Ins? Choosing Edit > Copy from the window menu?
Doesn't make any difference, tried each of theese options.

Tried that but it didn't resolve my problem. After renaming the xml file a new file was created. I opened TP and noticed the "context menu" option was checked but there was no context menu.

theres no "Textpad" entry in my context menu even the "Context Menu" box is checked. Tried to uncheck and recheck didn't change anything.
