I saw your post, and I "partially" agree... but mostly disagree. I LOVE the grayed out button for save... I actually wish other programs were smart enough to do this... I should clarify... Just because I want to "Save a copy as...", does not mean I want to wipe out my clipboard contents... I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before or not, but its a simple one, that comes in handy all the time. Purpose: It saves a copy of the current document, to a new file, which is opened.
