No response, I guess I figured enough people use spaces in the paths and file names to have garnered some response....
Ok, guess not. I hope this gets addressed at some point.

a bug in the new version (post version 5) causes issues when trying to open recent files. if the file or path of the file has multiple spaces (concurrently) then TextPad will eliminate the extra spaces in the configstate.xml file... when TextPad is reopened it is unable to locate the file because ...
