Preserving file order upon workspace load

Today, when you save a workspace containing several files in it, say File1.cpp, File2.cpp, File3.cpp, and File4.cpp (in that order), and you close it, it seems that the order in which Textpad reopens the file is kind of random. For instance, you may end up by having File3.cpp, File1.cpp, File4.cpp ...

Incremental search is a very nice feature: since I found it on emacs, I've difficulties to live without. Hopefully, Microsoft implemented it in its Visual Studio.

It's definitively a great feature, that I can vote for.

MRU windows cycling order like in Microsoft dev tools

Today, in Textpad, it seems that the windows cycling order (when using Ctrl-Tab and Shift-Ctrl-Tab) is the order of opening of the files. In Microsoft developement tools (and yes, Textpad competes with them!) the windows cycling order is the MRU, Most Recently Used. This could be a very nice option ...

By the way, I think Microsoft developement tools (Visual Studio & Visual .NET) also have the "whole file search" option. Not only Borland had it ;-)

Find in whole file

An option that would be nice in the search would be to enable the search from the top of the file instead of the current position, especially when you don't want to use wrap search. Today, you need either to enable wrap search (not very handy) or to manually go to the top of the file before running ...

You should try AvantBrowser out: it's a great wrapper around IE. Basically, when you're finished with a page, you just wheel click on the tab (the name of the page) and it disappears. Nice feature for browsing, and when you get used to it, you suffer from softs which don't have it :)

Moving tab by drag'n dropping with mouse

Like in multi-browsers (AvantBrowser, FireBird, CrazyBrowser, etc.) the ability to move tabs to rearrange the desktop would be a nice feature. This should work with mouse (drag'n drop) and with a keyboard shortcut.

Close a window by wheel-clicking the tab

Like in tabbed browser these days (AvantBrowser, Firebird, CrazyBrowser), it can be cool to be able to close a window, thus a tab, by wheel clicking the tab itself.

It is just an ease of use feature.
