thanks i got it going by doing a system restore to the first time it was installed, i reran blaster the worm removal software, i think that may have altered the path, thanks anyway

after compiling simple programs ie hello world, once u try to run the program from run java application i get the error exception in thread "main" java.lang.noClassDefFoundError...... it is strange because it was working with programs b4 any ideas ...
