is TP compatible with W8?

i use TP 5.2.0 32-bit on a laptop with WINDOWS XP HOME Ed SP3

i have some irritating problems e.g. TIP OF THE DAY does not work. i can ignore these irritants but prefer not to

i suppose the simplest tho' most tedious solution is to uninstall then re-install TP. so could yourselves read the below ...
