Changing document class

Post by sgb »

I have many *.txt files I wish to edit, but although they have the same extension, they are effectively different classes: EG
- No wrap, just long lines
- Wrap at 80
- Wrap at 72

Is there a way of selecting a document class for the active file, ignoring its extension?

The document class of a file is determined by its file name not necessarily the extension. If the text documents that all belong to the same class have a unique portion of the filename then it is possible. If not then one can set an individual file to a specific syntax etc - see View>Document Properties.
Failing that it should be possible, albeit somewhat messy, to name every file individually as belonging to a class.

And you can change the properties of the current document with View | Document Properties (Alt+Enter).
