Best five poll-option texts

Post by jeffy »

I'm curious what people think the text of both the question and five-options, for the "official" poll. I've recommended this:

Code: Select all

How important is it to you, to have this feature implemented into future versions of TextPad?
--Important, even if the size/efficiency of TextPad increases/degrades
--Somewhat important
--I'm okay either way
--Somewhat unimportant
--Unimportant, even if the size/efficiency of TextPad remains unaffected
Remember, it's gotta be "five options, ranked from most-to-least favorable, from top to bottom", but otherwise can be whatever text you like.

Do you have a better suggestion?

I think these 5 are ok
(much better than the versions we already had where you need someone living at maximum 5 miles from the poll creator to translate the slang into English...)

I agree, these five are fine. No change needed.

Disagree

Post by Dcantor »

I disagree, as I stated in my previous post.

I think the five options should be.

1. Strongly agree -- even if performance is impacted.

2. Somewhat agree.

3. I'm indifferent .

4. I think it's a dumb idea.

5. Strongly disagree -- don't implement this even if it would cause vast improvements in performance.

The set of choices proposed by Jeffy has indifference as the worst choice, and there's no way to express opposition.

In my language this is redundancy
4. I think it's a dumb idea.

5. Strongly disagree -- don't implement this even if it would cause vast improvements in performance.
If its a dumb idea, then you already disagree, whether strongly or not, you still disagree so #5 is useless
--Unimportant, even if the size/efficiency of TextPad remains unaffected
Means to me that I wont give it a thought, so I disagree

But thats just how me.....
