Running as Administrator

Post by IanOfYork »

Running TextPad as an administrator removes the macros from the Macro menu.
It should just warn you that it cannot find the macro file — so that when you next run TextPad under your own account, the macros are still in the menu.

If you do that by right clicking TextPad on the Start menu and choosing "Run as Administrator", contents of its Macros and Tools menus should not be affected. That's how it behaves for me.

If you log in as a different user with Admin rights, that user will have its own configuration, macros and tools. That's because TextPad's configuration is stored in the folder:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Helios\TextPad\9
