change window border color?

Post by solmssen »

Hi all - just upgraded to 9.4 from 7.6, and this window border highlight is new to me. The aqua color, I need to change it. Is this possible?

The border color is fixed for each theme, at present. What color would you prefer?

Congratulations on the upgrade! To customize the window border highlight color in macOS 9.4, you can follow these steps:
  • Click on the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen.
  • Select "System Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
  • Choose "Accessibility" (you may need to click on "Accessibility > Display" depending on your macOS version).
  • In the left sidebar, select "Display."
  • Look for an option related to "Window border color" or a similar setting.
  • Adjust the color to your preference.
It might be different but these are the general steps,

Hope this helps you

TextPad doesn't run natively on macOS.

Hi bbadmin - I think just a medium gray of some kind - the blue really sticks out for me, others may want that, but it's distracting for me. I suppose ideally we could change it ourselves like all the other colors. When you say theme, is this the color scheme for each document class? or a system light/dark theme as imposed by Windows? In the latter, I've set the accent color to a darkish gray but it doesn't look like you're using that setting.

thanks!
