Getting Texpad to state the ANSI code of a character

Post by Ryck »

Hi

I've read that if you move the mouse cursor over a character that Textpad will announce the ANSI code of the character. But this doesn't always work. Sometimes I would stand the cursor over the character for many seconds and nothing happens.

Is there a way to force Textpad to tell me the ANSI code of a character?

Sometimes what I end up doing is switching the view to hex mode and calculate the ANSI number from the hex.

Either I'm doing something wrong or there must be a better way I don't know about.

Thanks in advance.

If you open the file, with File Format of Binary, you will see the ASCII values.
(2[Bb]|[^2].|.[^Bb])

That is the question.
