I am using the autosave option.
But rather often I must create a new document with some text,
just for some minutes.
Therefore Textpad creates a new client window,
called "Document1", "Document2", "Document3", etc.
Thus those documents still have no filename yet.
But nevertheless the Autosave asks every some minutes
where to save.
Documents without filenames should NOT be forwarded to the Autosave
function !
This sucks !
Compare: UltraEdit has a fine option
"Backup / Do not auto-save unnamed (new) files"
PS: I still use Textpad 4.7.2 English version,
because the "Find In Files" results come into another client window
and not into a popup window, and because I can "Find" and mark etc.
within the search results just like a normal file

An alternative would be to keep the same behavior to always save files.
However, those files that have yet not been assigned a name are assigned a a temporary name and saved to the TEMP directory (pointed to by the %TMP% environment variable).
The benefit is that the contents of temporary data is saved in the event of crashes. In this scenario, these temporary files should be deleted once the file has been explicitly saved or the TextPad is closed normally.
Either way, the existing behavior is annoying where the dialog continually asking the user to save 'unsaved' files.
