And while you're at it, you can fix the bug that I reported about 2 or 3 years ago with find, and have posted on one of these forums. Ok, here it is again. Find whole word. Close find dialogue. Select something including, say, a full-stop at the end/beginning of the string. Ctrl-f to find it. Doesn'...

Ah. Sussed it, sort of. TextPad forces you to add a command initially only with a genuine file/directory. So select anything in that first dialogue, then later edit the tool's command to simply be 'iexplore.exe' with no path. If you run IE7 by double clicking the executable (for me in the directory ...

I get the impression Helios is a one-man band. My 4.7.3 version says copyright 2004, so that's about 2+1/2 years to release a new version which is basically Vista-compliant and little else, according to the release notes. I just want to be able to configure my Tools properly, and I know I'm not the ...

IE7 invoked from Tool problem

Anyone know what's going on here? I have a tool to start Internet Explorer, version 7, the tabbed version, it starts IE ok but if I try doing Tools > Internet Options (in IE) something flashes up momentarily -- it's not the actual Options dialogue, it's too small, but other than that it's too quick ...

TextPad also stores macros (*.tpm), clip libraries (*.tcl) and CUSTOM.BND in C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\TextPad\ (Or at least it does for me.) You can dump macros and cliplibs back in the ..\Samples directory though and TP finds 'em, I dunno about the CUSTOM.BND file but there...

But that will only pick up the second type of error, I want a regexp that will find either type, because the tool output can match either type of error message.

PL/SQL *exec* RegExp to match output?

I have been using the regexp given in this post for a long time, it works. However, I use the same tool to compile/run/whatever, so long as the underlying file is some type of oracle script, it runs. Oracle kindly tells me what line number the executing procedure (NOT compilation) failed at. Does an...

You can avoid this behaviour by creating a macro that moves left one, right one, up one, then assigning that macro to the Up-csr key. Obviously, similar for down.

Tools & shortcuts

Forget it, it's easy! Just map through the Keyboard Preferences dialogue. <redundant> I tried exporting / importing the Tools settings but after editing the file in TP, Windows complains it's not a registry file and won't import it. But even if it did work, I see no information in the exported info ...

Because changing that option doesn't have the desired effect.

Ok, it does have the desired effect if I switch word-wrap off, but with word-wrap on it makes no obvious difference.

Vertical cursor movement

As per post here http://forum.textpad.com/viewtopic.php?t=6163&highlight=cursor&sid=dbbc4f9fe90bbefe8fd260849e718b25 Please provide an option that switches cursor behaviour so that up/down maintains CURRENT position and doesn't flip back to the column position at which you started typing on ...
