End of File, or EOF, is a concept or process--not a character.

Where did you find the reference to slash Z being EOF?

Doesn't appear to be any means of Refresh, other than go back and select the two files then CTRL-F9

Paypal doesn't cost you anything, only Helios, in this case. However, from the perspective of not having to deal with payment issues, it's probably worth it from Helios' perspective.

Have you tried 7.x or 8.x?

In TP8, with the Compare Files tab selected, if I hit F1 I get "Failed to launch help".

Help opens just fine if I select Help, Help Topics from Compare Files.

If there's no backup settings in TP, then TP didn't back up your changes. Do you have some other backup method in place?

You might want to consider stepping into 7.5.1, latest version. It's been quite stable.
