This is the most confusing thread I've ever seen on this forum.

To replace "particular character" x to the end of the line with "other text" y:

Click Search > Replace.

Find what: x.*
Replace with: y

Select Regular expression.

What do you mean by "set visibility"? Find results are highlighted as "selected text" in a document and you can change the colour of selected text if it helps. See the topic How To > Customize Settings > Colors in the help file.

My goodness, calm down. There's a page on the website for recovering lost licence keys. Have you tried that?

MudGuard, I think you’ll find https://forums.textpad.com/ is the correct address. The old address was http://forums.textpad.com/ (without the https).

Are you sure you're following the instructions exactly, word for word?

Make sure you're selecting the appropriate Document Class. If you want to change the font for all document classes, select the Default class.

WordPad doesn't add an extra line between paragraphs, but there is extra spacing. You can remove it in WordPad by selecting the pasted text, clicking the Line spacing button on the ribbon and clearing Add 10pt space after paragraphs . You can also change the line spacing from 1.15 to 1.0 if you wish...

The colour info is stored in ConfigState.xml. Did you try going into the Preferences dialog and re-selecting the colours you want?

You can do this as follows:

1. Click View > Document Properties
2. Click Tabulation
3. Select Convert new tabs to spaces

Helios are hosting this on a 13-year-old version of phpBB, so there's not much one can do about these sorts of problems unless they upgrade the forum software, which isn't going to happen.

Do you have document tabs turned on (View > Document Tabs)? You need to turn them off if you want to tile documents from the Document Selector.
