You could record a macro that does these steps:
  1. Search > Next Bookmark
  2. Type the characters you want to insert at the beginning of the line
And then multi-play the macro to the end of the file.

I don't use the Explorer pane myself, but I just tried it and mine always opens C:Windows when I start TextPad (also v8.9.0).

No, but the site admin appears to be toying with the idea of finally updating the version of phpBB to a newer one, which might help.

Thanks. And well done for being the first person in 15 years other than the site admin to use this forum for its intended purpose :)

Interesting that MarJohn says "I haven't noticed the same behaviour in any other programs" because I'm having a hard time finding examples of programs that don't have this behaviour. Notepad, WordPad, the address bar in my browser, the text field that I'm composing this reply in, the Windo...

I don't know if it's a known bug, but I can reproduce it too. Nothing gets inserted after selecting a file.

I've always found that you need to select Both before selecting the font. Try that and see if it helps. The dialog does default to showing Screen when you re-open it, but the font selection should still be saved properly. It's a poorly designed dialog that I think has never been updated.

New Vertical Tab Group and WindowTileVert don't do the same thing. If document tabs are enabled and, say, five documents are open, New Vertical Tab Group moves the current document to a new group. The WindowTileVert command puts all documents in separate groups. There's no keyboard shortcut for New...

It would be worth trying. I've never installed a separate dictionary for TextPad and the spelling checker (rudimentary as it is) has always worked for me. The only thing I do for configuring the spelling checker after installing TextPad is go into Configure > Preferences > Spelling , select my desir...

Which language version of TextPad are you using? The English version already comes with American, British and Canadian English dictionaries and doesn't require a separate installation.

I don't think TextPad is designed to have more than one document class associated with a file extension, which is why you got those warning messages. TextPad has no way of knowing which document class to use when you open a file if you have two document classes for the one extension. The file type d...

The quickest way I can think of is: Press Alt+Enter to open the Document Properties dialog Select the Font tab Type the first few letters of the font you want to switch to until it is at the top of the Font list Press Down and Enter If you don't switch to a different tab, you can skip Step 2 the nex...

Do you really mean everything on one line, or just the long lines like the StreetAddress in your example?

If you're referring to just long lines, you might be seeing the difference between word wrapping being on and off, which you can set via Configure > Word Wrap.
