This is fixed for the next release.

You can't preset the zoom factor but you can specify the font size you want for each document class:

Configure » Preferences » Document Classes » class name » Font » Size

What version of TextPad are you using?

We can't reproduce this behaviour, so if you can reproduce it on demand please send a copy of a file where this occurs to "support@textpad.com".

Please try updating to version 8.17.1.

If that doesn't help:

1. Open Configure » Preferences » Document Classes » Text » Printing
2. Check "Restart with default printer".
3. Click OK.

I can't reproduce the "Move to new instance" issue.

I can't reproduce it with Ctrl+Alt+D. Pressing and releasing the Alt key on its own moves the focus to "File" on the menu, as expected.

It resolves itself after restarting TextPad. Hopefully, you won't need to show and hide the clock very often! Thanks for reporting it.

Maybe that file is corrupt. Try renaming or deleting it when TextPad is not running, then starting TextPad, make your changes and exit.
