My guess is that (almost) nobody has the same problem or knows a solution, as most users will have updated to more recent versions of textpad (4.7.3 is from 2004 - more than 15 years old ...)

As always ...

Press Alt+Space, click on "move" in the appearing menu, press one of the 4 arrow keys.

Now the missing window is attached to the mouse pointer.

Move to where you want to have the window and click.

(this is standard windows behaviour)

The clip book does not store Unicode.

Ben, try copying the Unicode (non-ASCII-) stuff into a new clip book. Save the clip book. Leave textpad. Restart textpad. Paste from clip book to document - unicode is lost ...

According to 8.0.0 release notes: By default the command Edit -> EditUnicodeChar might be assigned to Alt-X (unless you already have own key assignments). Then you have to assign a key by yourself (Configure -> Preferences -> Keyboard, select Edit in left list, EditUnicodeChar in Right list, focus k...

superscript is not possible in textpad (the same as it is not possible to set bold, italic or a different font for a part of a text). Textpad is a text editor and thus allows only plain text, no formatting. Except: Unicode has some superscript characters (\u2070 and following, and \u00b2 ...), among...

forum seems to have moved from https://forums.textpad.com/ to https://textpad.com/forums/ But in some places the old host name is still active (log in/log out), thus https://forums.textpad.com/forums/ is called, which does not exist. Manually removing the forums. from that url gives the correct page...

Till you recover your license you could just "evaluate" textpad - i.e. use it without license for that short period of time.

Btw, why do you install windows 7 - it is only about half a year till it runs out of support in January 2020 ...
