 I hadn't noticed the byte counter!!! (I didn't care where it was - bottom left is fine by me!)
The good thing is that I no longer have to rely on my ability to count....

Thanks for pointing that out

Chris

Length of selected text

Often when writing code I want to know how many characters a variable name is - could there be an enhancement that when a section of text is selected the number of characters is shown, e.g. bottom right where the cursor coords are displayed?

Cheers,

Chris

New features

Looking through the enhancement section there are a number of features which would be very useful - text folding, increasing the work space functionality, etc. A number of these appear to have being there a long time - could Helios issue some sort of statement on which features will be implemented a...

Difference Tool

Is there a way to use a different difference tool other than the standard TextPad one? I use CSDiff and find the output format much more user friendly than the format used in TextPad? Is there a way to specify a $File1 and a $File2 when adding a custom tool or the ability to point to the CSDiff tool...

This feature would be really useful. The ability to have the standard compile, build, etc icons would make things much easier

Would be very useful - I have to use a number of compilers across a number of projects and it would be useful to have the ability for a separate ini file for each setup rather than having multiple compiler options. It's easier to change as well!

Configuration for PC-Lint

Since posting this message I've managed to get the error jumping part working - I've set this up as env-tpad.lnt, a copy of which I've cut and pasted below. The important part is the regular expression: ^\(.+\) \([0-9]+\) \([0-9]+\) env-tpad.lnt /* In TextPad the following setup should be used (note...

PC-Lint

Does anybody have a configuration to allow PC-Lint (www.gimpel.com) to be interfaced to the Text Pad command window? I can get the default lint output but cannot activate the jump to the error part. Can anybody help - I'm in the process of evaluating Text Pad and would like to get this feature worki...
