Added .aspx and .ascx coloring

I would like to had aspx coloring to my textpad.

I could just add the .aspx and .ascx to the HTML to get much of it but can't figure out how to add that to the extension list of HTML.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,

Tom

It seems to want to create an html file and not handle the xml data. I tried using the preferences (with and without quotes where with quotes seemed to work better). The file I am trying to handle has one line in it: <?xml version="1.0"?><DTSConfiguration><DTSConfigurationHeading><DTSConfi...

Formatting xml files

I have xml files I would like open and edit in textpad.

But the files are always in one line.

Is there a way to have textpad reformat the xml file to indent it properly?

Thanks,

Tom

New syn file

I am using 4.7.3 and want to add in a couple of keywords in the C/C++ sections. I already added *.CS as a files in class of C/C++ class and it works pretty good but obviously doesn't have the keywords for C#, such as foreach. I copied the cpp.syn file and created a cs.syn and added foreach to the ke...

5.3 differences

I am using 4.7.3 and have for a long time. I am curious about what I would get if I upgrade to the newer version and how stable is it? Also, one thing that would be nice is being able to put my cursor before a bracket and have it automatically show you the matching bracket without having to use the ...

I found that XML Notepad 2007, worked really well.

I don't use all the xml stuff, I just open the file and then save it.

Then I open it up in Textpad and it looks great.

Thanks,

Tom

That worked great. Is there a way to delete multiple blanks as well? I have some text such as aaaa ,bbbbbbbb ,ccccccccc dddd ,eeee ,fffff I just want to delete all blanks except 1 between words (or punctuation), such that the above would show as: aaaa ,bbbbbbbb ,ccccccccc dddd ,eeee ,fffff all blank...

Reformat Javascript

I am trying to reformat some compressed javascript and see that Textpad has a Reformat command and it did spread it out but didn't reformat according to the brackets.

Can you do this is TextPad?

Thanks,

Block Select Mode and newlines

I just found a great feature I didn't know Textpad had and I have used it for years. I needed to take the text out of debugger page that had the text in the right side (16 columns) and had no way to copy it. Then someone at worked mentioned it and worked great. Now I can copy it and paste it onto an...

XML files

I am using 4.5 and am starting to use xml files but the files I am getting are all showing on the same line.

Is there a way to get them to display on separate lines for each tag and indent as well?

Thanks,

Tom
